Children, Young People and Families Providing interventions for children, young people and their families. What we offerOur approachOur services and programsRefer to the service What we offer We offer interventions for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 25 that may be displaying early warning signs of mental health issues, such as anxiety and depression. We provide an opportunity for children and young people to discuss their concerns in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment. We work with families through offering support to ensure the young person’s needs are met, and work with the child to build their self-confidence, resilience and address any negative or self-defeating behaviours. Our approach We understand the importance of a positive healthy upbringing and how this contributes to an individual's mental health over their lifespan. Working with children and young people at all stages of their upbringing and providing interventions at an early age is vital to ensure resilience and good mental health. Our goal is to support children and young people through listening to their concerns, validating their feelings and providing a safe environment where they can learn coping, problem solving and to build their resilience and self-worth. Family involvement in addressing children and young person’s needs is vital so that everyone is heard, there are opportunities to share concerns, resolve issues which are culturally relevant for their family unit, and to build skills and capacity to deal with conflict or adversity as part of everyday life.
