Bridges Arts Culture & Wellbeing Centre

Bridges CEO Sharon Sarah has a vision to holistically support the mental health and wellbeing of Bridges clients and the Bundaberg region's community at large.

Bridges CEO Sharon Sarah had a vision to holistically support the mental health and wellbeing of Bridges clients and the Bundaberg and surrounds community at large.  This goal took a stride toward realisation, when plans to redevelop the old Fire Station site at Woongarra street, Bundaberg CBD were given the go ahead by council.

The site was an active Fire Station from 1958 until sold in 2021 to Bridges Health and Community Care. Plans to reinvent the site into an arts and wellbeing community precinct are now well under way. The ground floor area will serve as a meeting space for community members, facilitate workshops, accredited training and education courses, art projects, support groups, NDIS services and other community oriented activities and supports.

Bridges will continue to deliver an extensive range of high level of Mental Health, NDIS, and Youth Bail Support services to the Bundaberg community, with the upper floors of the building dedicated to corporate space and consulting rooms for Bridges mental health professionals.
