About Regional Reset
The Regional Reset program is a new early intervention initiative funded by the Queensland Government under its Making Queensland Safer plan. Bridges Health & Community Care is proud to deliver the program in Bundaberg and Hervey Bay, working with young people aged 8–17 years and their families who are showing early signs of high-risk or anti-social behaviours.

The program offers young people a short-stay, live-in experience of one to three weeks where they can step away from harmful environments and reset their relationships, behaviours, and attitudes. For very young or vulnerable participants, shorter stays over several weeks may be offered. During this time, young people take part in a structured and supportive program that focuses on:

-
building self-control, resilience, and positive behaviours;
-
engaging in education and training opportunities;
-
learning life and employment skills;
-
participating in pro-social activities such as sport, adventure, volunteering, and cultural programs; and
-
accessing therapeutic and rehabilitative supports, including counselling, drug and alcohol services, and family therapy.
Bridges works with each young person and their family before, during, and after the stay. This includes preparation and goal-setting with families, intensive mentoring and supervision while in the program, and up to six weeks of aftercare to embed positive changes at home and connect families with local community supports.

Refer to the service
The referral process is designed to target those who need the program most. Referrals may come from Queensland Police Service, schools, families, Child Safety, Court Coordinators, Co-responder teams, Youth Justice Service Centres, and other community services.

At its heart, Regional Reset is about creating a safe space for young people to pause, reflect, and reset their path. By supporting both the young person and their family, the program helps repair relationships, rebuild trust, and strengthen connections to school, community, and culture.
Funding acknowledgement
Regional Reset is funded by the Queensland Government, Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support.
